Christmas is almost upon us. The days are getting shorter and colder, and you might already be preparing for the festive season. Whether you’re an early prepper, or you tend to leave things last minute, there’s no reason you can’t decide which of these wonderful Christmas fairs you’re going to be attending this year!

Best craft fairs in North England

1.Piece Hall Christmas Market

Taking place every weekend from Friday 14th November, all the way to Sunday 21st December, this craft fair showcases some of the region’s favourite independent producers and crafters of all things from homeware, to jewellery, to delicious food and snacks.  

This fair takes place in the stunning Georgian Cloth Hall, Halifax.

 

2.Manchester Christmas Markets 

Manchester’s famous Christmas markets are back for their 27th year, and there’s a reason they keep coming back! Whilst the focus of these markets isn’t solely crafts, there are plenty of opportunities for craft buying and selling in multiple zones.

The markets are on for 6 weeks, taking place from Friday 7th November to Monday 22nd December. The markets are spread throughout Manchester City Centre.

 

3. Tatton Park Christmas Gift Fair

Not usually open to the public, the mansion’s tenants hall hosts a range of local suppliers selling items including jewellery, candles, and a variety of other crafts. This fair is great for families, and ideal for finding or selling fun Christmas items. 

This wonderful event takes place on the weekend of the 27th to the 30th November 2025 in Knutsford.

 

4. Little Bird Artisan Markets

If you’re looking for a wholesome winter-wonderland vibe Christmas market in the North of Yorkshire, the little bird artisan markets at fountains abbey is a great place to set up your own stall or browse high-quality crafts made with love. 

Get yourself along on Saturday 29th November 2025 in Ripon.

 

5. Pendle Arts, Crafts, Gifts Fair

Each year, this hippodrome in Colne transforms itself into a major exhibition hall featuring over 70 local crafters and artists. From Saturday 15th to Sunday 23rd November, get yourself along to this event to treat yourself or your loved ones.

 

6. Samlesbury Hall Christmas Fair

The Samlesbury Hall Christmas Fair boasts over 40 festive small business stalls each selling handmade crafts, homemade food and lots of Christmas treats! Join in with the festivities and even book yourself a stall to start selling your own crafts on November 29th in Preston!

 

 

Best craft fairs in South England and the Midlands

1. South of England Agricultural Society’s Winter Fair

This annual winter fair in Ardingly is the perfect place to start your Christmas shopping on 22nd and 23rd November! There will be plenty of crafts, gifts and food on sale from independent traders, so grab yourself a ticket before they sell out.

 

2. NEC Festive Gift Fair

The NEC in Birmingham are hosting a mega Christmas craft fair over the weekend of the 13th -16th of November. With over 200 craft stalls already booked in to appear on the day, you’re sure to find the perfect christmas present for that one tricky relative you can never shop for!

Book your tickets now or even try your hand at exhibiting and sell your own crafts. Make sure you have craft fair insurance in place first though!

 

3. Winchester Cathedral Christmas Market

Join the festive fun at Winchester Cathedral this Christmas for their annual Christmas craft fair. Stock up on wintery treats, plenty of high-quality, handmade crafts and a range of luxury gifts for your loved ones.

The Cathedral invites craftspeople from across the country to take part in their markets too! Join in the fun on the 21st November to 22nd December 2025!

 

4. Black Country Fairs’ Christmas Craft and Gift Fair

Come along to the Black Country Fairs’ Christmas Markets for a wide range of different stalls, as well as return of the North Pole post office, Santa’s Sleigh and even a live choir.

This event is ideal for families, or anyone who prefers smaller, less busy Christmas fairs. Head over on Saturday 15th November 2025 at Himley Hall!

Fancy staying in this year? We understand that not everyone wants to head out to a busy Christmas market just yet. Luckily, there are plenty of virtual craft events still going ahead this year!

Tea and Crafting Virtual Workshops 

Hosted by Tea and Crafting, there are a huge number of different virtual Christmas craft workshops that you can join via Zoom. Prices vary depending on what type of class you book, but the company will send you everything you need to get crafting!
