Christmas craft fairs are back and better than ever! Have you missed the cosy vibes, masses of sweet treats and huge range of festive crafts you can only get at an annual christmas fair?

Best craft fairs in North England
1. Malton Christmas Festival
The huge Malton Christmas Festival is deemed to be the ‘shopping event of the year’, hosting a range of free to enter festive stalls across the 7th – 8th of December.
You can expect a weekend of festive fun in and around Malton’s picturesque market place, with a range of food and drink stalls, gift stalls, live music from local brass bands and family entertainment.
2. Manchester Christmas Markets
Manchester’s famous Christmas markets are back again for their 26th year, with over 200 stalls spread across nine locations in the city centre. Whether you make homemade gifts or artisan food, these markets are a must visit for many locals and tourists.
The markets are on for 6 weeks, taking place from the 8th November to the 22nd December.
3. Leeds Christmas Markets
In 2023 Leeds welcomed a new Christmas market that transformed the city centre. It’s back this year and it’s bigger and better, spanning across Millenium Square and City Square. You can join in the fun by exploring unique gift stalls, craft stalls and delicious food and drink.
They are even hosting artisan markets every Saturday and Sunday throughout the 22nd November to the 22nd December.
4. Hawkshead Christmas Fair
The Hawkshead Christmas Fair is a traditional family event with something for everyone, all while being in the beautiful lake district.
Stalls include lots of homemade crafts, food and drinks and other Christmas goods and they are currently taking applications for stallholders.
5. Brancepeth Castle Craft Fair
This craft fair has been hailed as one of the best organised craft fairs in the North East! A beautiful castle filled to the brim with talented crafters, you’ll be sure to come away with handfuls of festive treats and handmade gifts.

Best craft fairs in South England and the Midlands
1. South of England Agricultural Society’s Winter Fair
This annual winter fair is the perfect place to start your Christmas shopping! There will be plenty of crafts, gifts and food on sale from independent traders, so grab yourself a ticket before they sell out.
2. Samlesbury Hall Christmas Fair
The Samlesbury Hall Christmas Fair boasts over 40 festive small business stalls each selling handmade crafts, homemade food and lots of Christmas treats! Join in with the festivities and even book yourself a stall to start selling your own crafts!
3. NEC Festive Gift Fair
The NEC are hosting a mega Christmas craft fair over the weekend of the 14th – 17th of November. With over 200 craft stalls already booked in to appear on the day, you’re sure to find the perfect christmas present for that one tricky relative you can never shop for!

4. Winchester Cathedral Christmas Market

5. Black Country Fairs’ Christmas Craft and Gift Fair
Come along to the Black Country Fairs’ Christmas Markets for a wide range of different stalls, as well as return of the North Pole post office, Santa’s Sleigh and even a live choir.
This event is ideal for families, or anyone who prefers smaller, less busy Christmas fairs.
